You might remember when I was in Monaco, I decided to shoot some panoramas of the city. As much as I like shooting landscape panoramas, I wanted to work on a more personal concept using this method. This led me to try a combination between panoramas and portraits and that’s how the panotraiture was born.
Basically, I believe a human face has much more to offer than what a picture usually shows and too often, portraiture photography is limited to one side or one aspect of the face. We are talking about more than a beauty shot, this is an experimentation around the human face's anatomy.
Half pano, half portraiture. Some may call it "interesting", some may say it's bizarre or maybe just weird, like monkey faces! But it's just a whole face in one image.
So there you have it. Please let me know what you think about this experimentation and feel free to contact me if you would like to see yourself in a panoportrait!
Have a great day!
