I know, that's not a lot but bear with me, fall season in Geneva is pretty much the worst. Sky is nearly permanently gray, the weather is cold, damp and the fog is close to omnipresent. Well at least that's the way it is down town.
One of the many great aspects of Geneva is you don't need to go far to get out of the city. Drive 10 minutes and you are surrounded by fields, farms and sheep. Well, this very morning, Anka and I, went for a walk on the golf course that's at the foot of the Salève. And that's what's to love about fall: the colors! I'm glad I had my iPhone with me.
For once, I have to admit, the fog is kind of a nice touch. And I still can't get over those colors: so rich, so bright! It's a shame to think all the leaves will fall off the trees in a few weeks.
And on the way back we even saw a flock of 6 pheasants walking in the woods. That was magical!
I hope you are dealing with the cold weather, cozying up by the fire drinking hot cocoa… okay, maybe there's more than one reason to love fall!
