Rocky Skyscrapers

A morning in September 2010, approximately 5000 meters in the air, the sun is bright and the deafning sound of the helicopter throws me into a parllel universe, suspended over the Alps.
The pilot approaches the Mont-Blanc. I am ready, my lens in the wind. We fly over the giant, around it, I take a few pictures but my eye is attracted by something else.
Vertiginous and jagged peaks, raw and cracked matter. I take dozens of photos amazed by the power emerging from these summits.
On the way back I keep thinking about these rocky giants that seem to be defying gravity.
I have it! I will call this serie of pictures «Rocky Skyscrapers», a nod to Man’s will to always get closer to the sky.
